Make a powerful local impact by "adopting" a
San Francisco Food Bank pantry site.
The San Francisco Food Bank serves 24,000 households each week through our network of 200+ neighborhood pantries.
Adopt-a-Pantry partners make a commitment to support one particular pantry for at least a year. This support allows the Food Bank to provide a greater variety of nutritious foods to clients every week.
The Food Bank can regularly supply our 200+ pantry sites with dry goods like beans and canned soups along with several kinds of fresh produce.
But it takes more to round out a meal.
Through support from our Adopt-a-Pantry partners, we are able to provide a more robust selection of foods, including high protein items like lean meats and tofu, staples like rice and beans, healthy snacks, and a greater variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Contact Elizabeth Shapiro, Major Gifts Associate, by email or at (415) 282-1907 ext.228 to find out more about adopting a pantry.
Help fill a family’s plate up with pasta or rice, turkey or tofu. Help a working parent give her child a simple treat like a juice box an apple, or a granola bar.
