Helpful Resources
You've registered your drive, now it's time to let everyone know!
Once your registration has been processed, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to your personalized team page. You can then forward this link to your friends, family and co-workers so they'll know how to donate through your Virtual Online Drive.
For every $1 donated, we're able to distribute three meals. So one email to all of your friends can bring in hundreds of meals for our neighbors in need. It's that simple.
Email Template
Customize the sample text in the email template, then send out emails to all of your drive participants and ask them to forward it to their friends and family.
Customizable Food & Fund Drive Poster
It's easy to customize our Food & Fund Drive poster so everyone will know your drive's details — just type in your dates, goal and contact information in the PDF form. The poster also includes a list of the Food Bank's most-needed food items. Be sure to hang your posters in your building's highest-traffic areas!
Top Ideas for a Successful Drive:
Spread the word. A successful Food & Fund Drive can go beyond the confines of your office or team. Ask co-workers to spread the word to their own communities through email, Facebook and Twitter. When you register for your drive, you'll be given a link to your team’s page that you can easily distribute. Don’t forget to let everyone know why YOU support the Food Bank.
Make it fun! The most successful campaigns are the ones that include team building, 100% participation and FUN! Be creative and use your support of the Food Bank to bring the entire office together in support of the community.
Hold a bake sale. The most successful bake sales are ones that include both sweet and savory items. Bake sales held during lunchtime are a great way to raise money while people enjoy delicious, home-cooked foods.
Organize a mini golf tournament. A great way to raise donations while fostering teambuilding and friendly competition!
Set up a competition among teams of co-workers, classes or groups, and challenge each team to achieve 100% participation. If your office is hosting a food drive, ask your management or team leaders to step up and lead the charge to set a good example for everyone involved.
Organize a silent auction. See if your company, co-workers or friends are able to donate prizes that can be used to solicit donations for the Food Bank.
Ask you company to match your gifts. Find out if your company would be willing to match all donations collected by employees. It’s a great way to motivate everyone and double your contributions.
Raise money in your office by having a raffle for a “hot” office item. Some companies have offered a half-day or full day off, priority parking space for a week, or other office perks.
Thanks to our donors, we'll distribute 45 million pounds of food this year.
