Hunger shouldn't be a hindrance to learning. That's why the Food Bank recently expanded its partnership with public schools to provide healthy morning snacks to schoolchildren.
What started as a three-school pilot program has grown to 28 public schools where over 50% of the students receive free or reduced-price meals. The program now serves over 8,000 kids every day with healthy snack such as: fresh oranges, bananas, apples, granola bars, milk and more.
