ConAgra Food’s "Child Hunger Ends Here" Campaignnow through August 31ConAgra Foods and Lucky Supermarkets are teaming up to donate $15,000 to the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks as part of ConAgra's national Child Hunger Ends Here campaign with Feeding America.The Child Hunger Ends Here campaign asks people to take action by looking for the red pushpin in Lucky Supermarkets and purchasing specially-marked packages of ConAgra Foods brands — then visiting www.ChildHungerEndsHere.com or www.facebook.com/childhungerendshere to enter the eight-digit code found on the packages. For each code entered between now and 8/31/13, the equivalent of one meal will be donated to Feeding America.**A monetary donation will be made to help provide one meal through Feeding America’s network of food banks, up to a maximum of 3 million meals, for codes entered through 8/31/13. Guaranteed minimum donation: 1 million meals ($125,000). Valid in U.S. only. $1 donated = 8 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local food banks. -

Train for a half marathon as part of the San Francisco Marathon this summer while supporting the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks!The Food Bank is partnering with Marathon Matt to launch Team Food Bank on Sunday, March 31, a half marathon training/fundraising program benefitting the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks that culminates with completion of the '2nd' half marathon associated with the San Francisco Marathon on Sunday, June 16!Each participant commits to raise $1,300 to support the Food Bank. Basmati Bags: Stockings for StewardshipJune 1-30During the month of June, Basmati Bags will be collecting torn stockings; they use them in their upcycled bags as part of their sustainability initiative. Each pair of stockings donated between 6/1 and 6/30 will be counted as a vote for either the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks or SCRAP SF. At the end of the month, they will tally the stockings, and whichever of the two non-profits has received the most votes receives a $300.00 donation from Basmati Bags. -
