Basmati Bags: Stockings for StewardshipJune 1-30During the month of June, Basmati Bags will be collecting torn stockings; they use them in their upcycled bags as part of their sustainability initiative. Each pair of stockings donated between 6/1 and 6/30 will be counted as a vote for either the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks or SCRAP SF. At the end of the month, they will tally the stockings, and whichever of the two non-profits has received the most votes receives a $300.00 donation from Basmati Bags. -

Canstruction 2013September 23-27
See giant sculptures created entirely of canned food to be donated to the Food Bank. This year’s theme is From CANdyland to Wow and each sculpture is designed by local architects and engineers who are volunteering their time to create public art and support the Food Bank.
