If hunger only happened during the holidays, the San Francisco Food Bank would only need volunteers once a year. The reality is that thousands of people face hunger all year long.
Apple Corps provides an opportunity for groups of volunteers – such as businesses, churches, schools, clubs or other organizations – to make a volunteer commitment throughout the year.
Every day, the Food Bank moves 100,000 pounds of food into the city to make sure no one goes without. Our Apple Corps teams are the vital, reliable link between people facing hunger and the food we provide to them throughout the year.
We keep a tally of how much food each Apple Corps team processes per project and through the year. This generates an instant and ongoing sense of accomplishment, demonstrating a lasting engagement with your community.
Hunger never takes a day off – but neither do we. Become an Apple Corps team and fight hunger year-round.
