Volunteers are a vital part of our fight against hunger - they sort and repack millions of pounds of food every year.
Thanks to their consistent support, the Food Bank is able to distribute even more food into the community by purchasing in bulk.
Here, a group of senior volunteers repacks frozen macaroni into family-sized portions:
Here's what our volunteers are saying:
“What keeps me coming is how organized, productive and efficient it is. You feel like you’re actually making a difference.”
"My co-workers kept regaling me about how much they got done - mountains of green apples they'd sorted or a ton of rice they'd packed up. I just had to come see it for myself."
"Everything is so well run! The projects are always fun and you always know exactly what you should be doing. And then people get fed, so it's all good!"
